The Austrian government has appointed the new members to the supervisory board of the regulatory authority E-Control for the next five years. The new members, who are all women, also include BBH lawyer and Partner of Counsel Dr Dörte Fouquet.

“I am very pleased that I am given the opportunity to use my experience in European energy law to make a small contribution to a sustainable regulation of the Austrian grid industry”, says Dr. Fouquet.

E-Control is responsible for the regulation of the electricity and gas industry in Austria and thus comparable to the highest German regulatory authority in this area, i.e. the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur – BNetzA).
