BBH group supports the institute for Federal Real Estate in Europe-wide award procedure for photovoltaic systems

The German Institute for Federal Real Estate (Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben – BImA) has launched a Europe-wide award procedure for the implementation of photovoltaic systems as part of its climate action programme. The BBH group planned and prepared the award procedure in collaboration with PD – Berater der öffentlichen Hand GmbH, a publicly owned consulting firm. Companies from all over Europe can submit their bids for planning, installing and operating rooftop photovoltaic systems on more than 1,000 buildings across Germany. The deadline for submissions is 22/01/2025.

The award procedure, which was launched on 06/11/2024, comprises a public invitation to participate before a number of candidates are asked to submit their tenders. The invitation is divided into seven regional lots:

- Berlin and Brandenburg

- North Rhine-Westphalia

- Saxony and Thuringia

- Baden-Württemberg

- Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Hesse

- Bremen, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt

- Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

”We are delighted to be able to provide our expertise and make a valuable contribution to the implementation of BImA’s climate action programme,” says Jens Panknin, partner and lawyer at the BBH group. “This challenging project underlines our expertise in award procedures and sustainable projects”, adds Dr. Roman Ringwald, also a partner and lawyer at the BBH group. Both are grateful to BBH counsel and lawyer Nikolas Barfknecht (procurement law and private building law) and BBH counsel and lawyer Niklas Schwalge (energy law and ESG) for their extensive support in this project.
