Today, the members’ meeting of the SPD Economic Forum (Wirtschaftsforum der SPD e.V.) elected its executive committee. BBH partner Prof. Dr. Ines Zenke was reappointed by the members and will thus remain vice president of the SPD Economic Forum for a further two years.

Prof. Dr. Zenke has been part of the executive committee of the association since its inception in April 2015. She is in charge of four specialist fora, i.e. Energy and Climate, Municipal Services, Resources and Sustainability as well as Mobility and Infrastructure. Also re-elected were Dr. Michael Frenzel, president of the Economic Forum, and Harald Christ, vice president. Vice presidents newly elected are Prof. Dr. Susanne Knorre, business consultant and former Minister of Agriculture of Lower Saxony, as well as Matthias Machnig, former State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie – BMWi). Heiko Kretschmer, founder and managing partner of Johanssen + Kretschmer, a business consultancy, has been newly elected as treasurer. Robert Maier is leaving his role as vice president of the Economic Forum.

The Economic Forum is an independent business association bringing together business and politics.
