Renowned experts will present and discuss the latest legislation and funding situation as well as the implications for companies at the conference themed “Success factors of the municipal heat transition”. Among the guests will be the economic expert (Wirtschaftsweise) Prof. Dr. Achim Truger (member of the German Council of Economic Experts), who will start the conference by addressing the question of Germany‘s current climate action status. In the afternoon, the main focus will be on municipal heat planning, and we can expect progress reports from various perspectives, including the presentation of three successful practical cases from the respective municipal utilities of Bielefeld, Schwerte and Speyer. Finally, a panel and plenary discussion chaired by Klaus Hinkel, Chief Editor of ZfK, and featuring Kerstin Andreae, Chair of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Dr. Holger Kreetz, COO Uniper, and Prof. Dr Ines Zenke will conclude the conference addressing the issue of how to accelerate the climate transition.
