This afternoon, the new book titled “Haushalts- und Finanzwirtschaft der Kommunen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland” (budgetary and financial management of municipalities in the Federal Republic of Germany) will be presented at the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies in Berlin. The participants include not only the editors of the volume, i.e. Dr. Tilmann Schweisfurth (former President of the Court of Audit of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Dr. Walter Wallmann (President of the Hessian Court of Audit) but also numerous experts from public administration, ministries, politics, associations as well as the world of science and business. Among the invitees are also the BBH lawyers Prof. Dr. Christian Theobald, Meike Weichel and Dennis Tischmacher, who contributed to the book as authors of a chapter on municipal companies, which looks at cities/towns as “corporate groups”.
