With Dr. Dirk Buschle joining the partnership, the BBH Group boosts its European and international profile. Dirk ranks among the most experienced energy lawyers and policy-makers in Europe. As Deputy Director and Head of Legal of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, he has advised and supported numerous governments, enterprises and international organisations on the reforms needed to master the energy and climate transition. He has been in charge of the implementation of European law by the member states of the Energy Community and managed the EUR 500+ mln Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Prior to joining the Energy Community in 2007, Dirk was Head of Cabinet of the President of the EFTA Court. Dirk also teaches European energy and climate policy at the renowned College of Europe in Bruges and Natolin. He will be supported in Brussels by Senior Policy Advisor and Partner Counsel Dirk Hendricks and team.
