Nikolas Barfknecht currently advises public contracting authorities and sector contracting entities on the implementation of energy infrastructure projects, in particular regarding the procurement of thermal waste treatment facilities, sewage sludge incineration plants and energy generation installations (e.g. cogeneration, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy or wind energy). In this context, he specialises in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and provides comprehensive advice at all stages of plant construction projects. He also advises clients on legal matters relating to procurement law, e.g. in the context of contract award procedures.
